I haven't really been keeping up with all the latest technology and its uses in education, so I thought this would be a good way for me to get my feet wet without having to give up too much time with my family. I hope that this course will give me some insight to how my students are using technology and how using this technology might help me reach those I have difficulty reaching on a comventional level.

ReplyDeleteI feel your need to "keep up". I see that you have a Masters in IT. Mine is in Educational Technology and I finished 2003. I would say that roughly 90% of my degree is out of date, which has made it essential for me to keep up or quickly find myself in the dark ages!
ReplyDeleteIf you think your's is outdated mine is anceint. I graduated in 1993. I think keeping up with the trends in my personal life keeps me up to date with the technology. Participating in this course will get me thinking about how I can use the same tehcnology in my professional life.
